Welcome to the website and glad you made it here!

What you’ll find here

This is a place where you’ll find posts about my technical findings and journey. As I continue my career, I am finding that I enjoy the broader picture a bit more than getting into the details. Writing in a small capacity has been something I always wanted to do, but never had the platform to do it in a way that I wanted…until now! So, that’s what you’re going to find here: thoughts on my technical journey, posts that get into the details, posts that focus on the collective, and whatever else I’d like to share.

Topics that I’ll cover

All cloud technology concepts that I have or will encounter in my career but will mostly be Microsoft 365: Entra, Intune, Purview, and Defender. These will all branch off in their own things and I will try my best to use tags to keep things organized on here.

Copilot, AI, AI readiness, data security, tenant security, and automation will be a focus as well. These are topics that have been popular as of late and are ones that I’ve genuinely enjoyed getting involved with.

How this website became a thing

I am on paternity leave currently and I had a bit of time to scroll last week late at night (YouTube is my drug of choice). Pax8 The Game with Dom Kirby and Matt Lee published a video on using Claude Code to create a static website for a mock social event. You can watch the video here for yourself. My initial thought after watching the video was “Wow, that was easy. I’m going to try and just build a website using Claude as well.” However, I wanted to build something that had purpose.

So, over to Claude Code I went and did initial wire framing. I took the foundations from the video where I knew the site would be static using markdown files, Cloudflare pages, and GitHub. Then, I needed a brand. I sat and brainstormed what my initial logo would look like and color scheme. I’ve never considered myself to be the creative type, but I actually found interest in using my favorite colors to build something visually appealing.

Here we are within a week. A few hours here and there while not on dad duty. AI allowed me to bring an idea to reality in a fraction of the time while providing a safe place to spread positive content. What a time we live in!

What’s next?

I love innovating, solving problems, and teaching. I’ve learned that writing technical runbooks at my day job really commits my findings to memory. I want to apply that here but in a more audience-focused way where I can show off my skills. Or dive into boring topics like data security with Purview. Some posts will be guides with screenshots and callouts where other posts may be shorter ramblings on the broader picture.

I’m not going to commit to any cadence or schedule as there is no need to overwhelm. Whenever I have the time and a topic worth writing about will make the cut.

Extremely excited for this and glad you’ve made it this far. ❤️
